Cut the paneer into 1 ½ inches long, 1 ½ inches wide and ½ inch thick, pieces. Split each piece by cutting from their thick side. Fill little chaat masala (as per taste) in between the splits and keep it back in the plate.
Put oil in a frying pan and heat it.
Stir nicely the gram flour solution. Dip the paneer piece in this solution and put it in the frying pan. Like this put 2 to 3 pieces at a time in the frying pan. Fry them on medium flame and keep turning the pakoras with a frying spoon. After they turn dark brown, take them out in a plate. Like this make all the pakoras.
